The origins of our catering
Il Trovatore is one of the oldest restaurants in Venice, a stone's throw from Piazza San Marco and the San Zaccaria Vaporetto stop.
In 2021, Il Trovatore was recognized by the Veneto Region as a Historic Place of Commerce.
Since 1875, you can breathe the typical Venetian air and, through the fusion of flavors, scents, and cultures, we have created our restaurant philosophy.
Our fresh pasta production
Our Executive Chef proposes every day first courses with fresh hand-rolled pasta as it once was, a centuries-old tradition that leads to the discovery of ancient values, only made with the highest quality materials that offer a unique taste experience, typical of Italian cooking.
Homemade bread and pizza by Chef Luciano
Chef Luciano offers guests of Il Trovatore a variety of doughs and a selection of unique raw materials for a result with a crafted flavour.
Our pizza is made with top quality products, highly digestible Biological Sourdough, mozzarella and tomato of Italian origin and all the manual skills of Chef Luciano.

Perfect dinner

Il Trovatore is located in a quiet street a stone's throw from Piazza San Marco. The environment is large but welcoming and the food is excellent, with gourmand Venetian cuisine. The relationship between service and quality is perfect. The wine list is excellent. Not to be missed.

Historic Place
With decree n. 177 of 20 September 2021, the Restaurant Il Trovatore has been registered in the Regional List of historical places of commerce, referred to in article 11 of regional law no. 50 of 28 December 2012. Historical places of commerce are considered to be all commercial establishments open to the public for at least forty years, i.e. commercial activities with historical or artistic value, which are evidence of the commercial identity of the urban areas of ancient formation.
